On Monday, representatives of Croatian Football Club Rijeka and Armada laid wreaths and lit candles below the monument in the stands at Kantrida, erected in memory of the fans killed in the Croatian War of Independence. Armada and HNK Rijeka again have not forgotten their members and loyal fans who lost their lives while defending Croatia.
Managing director Vlado Čohar, sporting director Srećko Juričić, administrative director Marina Vela, and first squad players of Rijeka Mate Maleš and Ivan Močinić laid wreaths in front of HNK Rijeka and paid tribute to the victims, while the latter two also attended a Solemn Mass held at the St Vitus Cathedral.
